Rivers

Madhumati, Barashia and Chandana rivers flow through Boalmari upazila. There are also haors, baors and beels. In all these rivers and haors a large number of native fishes are caught throughout the year such as Rui, Katla, Shol, Boal, Shing, Koi, Tengra-puti, Chital etc. Many people around rivers and haors make a living by fishing in these rivers and haors.
